Dr. Mandana Shahoveisi is a bilingual licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She specializes in individual, couples, children, adolescent, and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Irvine, California. With 20 years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and as a graduate of Chapman University and The Chicago School of Psychology she has developed an eclectic approach utilizing interventions derived from a wide range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Psychoanalytic Psychodynamic and Family System theories. Dr. Mandana is fascinated with Jung's psychoanalytic theory so she has also employed a Jungian Oriented approach in treating her clients. Dr. Mandana has also taught at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology as an adjunct professor. She has been serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients with a wide range of emotional and relational issues. Among her areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, relationship problems, low self-esteem, stress and anger management, eating disorders, parenting skills, and child and adolescent development and life transition issues.
